MASON CITY – A Best in Show Award Winner’s art will be featured in an exhibition opening at the MacNider Art Museum in Mason City.
Larry Gregson, of Mason City, was awarded Best in Show in 2018 during the Area Show: 46 exhibition for his painting, Abstraction Series: Stage Five. As prize for his win, he has been granted a solo exhibition in the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum’s Center Space Gallery. Gregson’s exhibition, In Search of . . ., opens on Friday, July 12 in the Museum’s Center Space Gallery.
Gregson was last featured in a solo exhibition at the Museum in 2011. He won Best in Show during the Area Show: 42 exhibition in 2010. His artwork has been juried into every Area Show since 2010. The Museum is very excited to once again host the artwork of this local talent.
In Search of . . . will be on display through Saturday, September 7, 2019. Admission to the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum is free. Museum hours are Tuesday, Thursday = 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Friday, Saturday = 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; closed Sunday, Monday.
