MASON CITY – A Des Moines man traveling through Cerro Gordo county is no in jail on a series of charges after it was reported he was driving the wrong way on a highway.
According to a report, a complaint was called in to law enforcement of a subject driving on the wrong side of divided highway.
Cerro Gordo County sheriffs responded and stopped Mitchell Douglas Roerig, 29.
Roerig was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, 2nd offense; Open Container of alcohol; Possession of a Controlled Substance: Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Driving on Wrong Side of Two Way Highway.
Roerig refused a blood alcohol test.
