Shortly before 7pm Friday evening Mason City police made a traffic contact in the 100 block of Washington Avenue North near the Southbridge Mall.
As a result of the traffic stop the officers arrested 32-year-old Jeffrey James Trask of Mason City on one aggravated misdemeanor count of child endangerment, 1st offense OWI, and failure to carry proof of insurance.
After locating a responsible adult to care for the child who was riding in Trask’s vehicle he was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail. Trask has posted the required bond for the criminal charges and been released pending further court proceedings.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
