The North Iowa Choral Society announces spring auditions for the Choral Society Children’s Choir. The Children’s Choir was formed in fall 2011 to provide opportunities for young musicians to develop and share their talents with the current ensemble consisting of 30 area children. The Children’s Choir performs on stage with North Iowa Choral Society during their regularly scheduled performances.
To audition, parents with interested children in grades 4-8 (unchanged voices only) may schedule an audition by contacting Choral Society President, Julie Taylor, at 641-420-6472 or taylor3@mchsi.com
Children should come prepared to sing a verse from a simple song such as My Country Tis of Thee, for example, or other song of their choice for audition purposes.
Children’s Choir rehearsals will be held from at 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) vocal music room from March 11 to April 8 in preparation for the spring concert April 15, which will be held at NIACC. The Choral Society is under the direction of Linda Ferjak and is sponsored by North Iowa Area Community College.
