CLEAR LAKE – “Be prepared for an all new, creepy show. If you dare, we WILL scare.”
Owners of the D and D Ranch, Debbie and Dale Anderson, have haunted and scared their audience of morbid and deranged individuals for the past ten years.
The “Haunted Hike,” located at 2532 South Shore Drive in Clear Lake, provides the brave and thrill seeking individual with an experience of being so scared, “You’ll pee your pants,” said with a wink.
This is the second of three weekends that the Haunted Hike will be open before the dreadfully terrorizing, ghoul and goblin filled night of Halloween.
Enthusiastic actors from Iowa and Minnesota bring both classic and current horror figures to life in the show.
The Haunted Hike has become known by many as the “Best Halloween Attraction in North Iowa.” The attraction is open from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and 7 to 10 p.m. on Halloween night.
The hike begins in the Halloween Museum featuring classic characters throughout the years. Once your finished there, a haunted wild west town awaits the brave.
This year, groups will be able to guide themselves through the haunted town and into the ranch’s eight acres of pasture, where unexpected terror awaits.
The hike lasts about twenty minutes, leaving people terrorized and screaming for more.
Due to “scary content,” the hike will not allow anyone under the age of ten to participate without adult supervision and the cost is $8 per person.
