January 24, 1950 – March 27, 2026

Darrell Zaugg, 76, passed away on March 27, 2026. He was born on January 24, 1950, and lived a life marked by faith, service, and deep love for his family and community.

Darrell was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Julie Zaugg, and a proud father to his son, Ben Zaugg (Joy Augustine), and daughter, Jackilyn Zaugg (Anthony Strmic). His family was the center of his life, and he took great joy in supporting and spending time with them.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Darrell spent his life as a farmer and truck driver. He also served his community as an EMS driver, always willing to step in and help wherever there was a need. His strong work ethic and servant’s heart were evident in everything he did.

Darrell found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved tractor pulls and tractor rides, attending sprint car races with friends, and hunting. He was actively involved in his community through the JayCee’s, served as president of the West Bend Country Club, participated as an FFA alumni, and spent time on the football chain gang. No matter the role, Darrell showed up faithfully and gave his best.

Darrell attended the Apostolic Christian Church his entire life. He lived out his beliefs through his actions: quietly serving others, offering help without hesitation, and treating everyone with kindness and respect.

Darrell was someone everyone loved. He was always willing to lend a hand, share a conversation, or offer encouragement. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and his impact will not be forgotten.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29th from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Center. A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 30th at 10:00 AM at the Apostolic Christian Church. Because of Darrell’s passion for FFA, if you feel moved, memorial gifts may be directed to the Hawkeye FFA c/o West Bend-Mallard School.
