ELDORA, IOWA – Police in Eldora sent an urgent “Public Assistance Requested” bulletin after a report of errant gunshots.
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 12:15 AM, a camera system recorded, according to police, “what sounds like gun shots fired” in the area of 14th Avenue and 18th Street in Eldora, Iowa.
“This incident was reported (Tuesday) morning around 10:19 AM. The Eldora Police Department immediately canvased the area when it was reported, collected evidence, and took statements,” police said.
Other folks have reported catching gunshots on their home camera systems, as well, as speculation on social media was rampant as to the source.
This incident is currently under investigation, and police are asking anyone with information to contact their non-emergency phone line.
