Carol Anne Hooper, daughter of Lawrence and Bernice (Haines) Wiser, was born on December 31, 1949 in Lancaster, Wisconsin. She graduated from Oconomowoc High School. While out one night with friends, she met a nice young man, Clyde “Mike” Hooper. The couple fell for one another and were wed on May 24, 1975 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. They made their home in Dousman, Wisconsin. The couple had two children, Chad and Ryan. Carol worked as a secretary at Grady Foundries for many years. Upon retirement, Carol and Mike moved to Arkansas. Carol enjoyed working part time for H&R Block. Wanting to be closer to her grandchildren, Carol convinced Mike to move to Estherville, Iowa. After suffering a stroke, Carol made her home at Aspire Assisted Living in Estherville. She passed away there on February 19, 2025 at the age of 75 years.

Carol enjoyed sewing in her free time; creating many quilts and her sons’ clothing when they were younger.

Carol is survived by her husband of 50 years Clyde “Mike” Hooper of Estherville; her sons Chad Hooper and Ryan (Amanda) Hooper; and grandchildren Hunter, Finley, and Tesla. She is also survived by her siblings Phyllis Westenberg, Betty Mueller, Kenneth Wiser, and Linda Mattiacci.
