It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jared Lynn Ahrens, who left this world far too soon on February 10, 2025, at the age of 33. Jared was born September 26, 1991, in Fallon, Nevada.
Though his time with us was brief, his love and laughter left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Jared graduated from Okoboji High School in 2010 and Iowa State University in 2014.
He met his wife Tori while attending Iowa State University and they were united in marriage on June 9, 2018. Above all Jared was a devoted father who adored his baby girl, Alaina. She was the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with her. His love for her will continue to shine through in the lives he touched.
Jared had a deep passion for animals, finding joy and purpose in caring for them. Whether working with them or simply enjoying their company, he had a special way of understanding and connecting with them.
In his quiet moments, he loved getting lost in books, exploring new worlds through reading, and immersing himself in the adventures of gaming. His sharp mind and adventurous spirit made him a joy to be around.
He is survived by his beloved wife Tori Ahrens; daughter Alaina; his parents, Tim (Trudy) Ahrens of Estherville, Angie (Ken) Sprinkle of Sioux Falls, his siblings Laura Ahrens, Isaiah Ahrens, Kaleb Ahrens and Maggie (Alex) McHugh; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ed (Pat) Ahrens, Butch (Deb) Duscheck and Tina Strain.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Jared’s love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Rest easy, Jared. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 1:00pm-2:30pm. A private service for close family and friends will be held.
