WEST DES MOINES – An Iowa woman’s mother bought her a lottery ticket at a fancy suburban convenience store and now the daughter is basking in the riches mommy bestowed upon her.
The Iowa Lottery says 25-year-old Taylor Caffrey of Grimes (pictured at top via Iowa Lottery) had a Money Gift scratch ticket in her Christmas stocking this year – placed there by her mommy. They say after she scratched it up, she discovered she won $150,000, which made her smile like a Christmas goose.
Mommy bought the ticket at the fancy new Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh in suburban West Des Moines, 9150 SE University Avenue, pictured below.
