Valerie Lynn Eaton, the daughter of Cyril and Vera (Anderson) Fischer, was born on November 26, 1949, in Estherville, Iowa. She passed away peacefully in her home on July 12, 2024, at the age of 74 years.
Valerie was raised in Estherville, graduating from Estherville High School. She married Tom Eaton on August 14, 1998 and together they raised six children.
In her free time, Val enjoyed playing cards, slot machines, fishing and her flower garden, but her favorite thing was spending time and playing with her grandchildren.
Val is survived by her husband, Tom Eaton; children, Rachel Higgins, Estherville, Ryan Higgins, Estherville, April (James) Tatman, Emmetsburg, Josh (Pam) Eaton, Nevada, Tricia (Matt) Rembold, Estherville, and Andrea (Ryon) Brody, Savage, MN; 8 grandchildren; her sister, Vera-Ellen (Dave) Feldman, Tacoma, WA; sister-in-law, Cindy Voster, Spirit Lake; her mother-in-law, MaryAnn Eaton, Estherville; and special nieces, Tonya and husband Jim Fuhrman, Eatonville, WA and Roxanne and her husband Lyle Hevern, Estherville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Vera (Anderson) Fischer, two sisters, Carole Jensen and Cheryl Hanson, a brother, Cyril Fischer Jr. and an infant daughter, Danyal.
