The Cyclone backcourt (Tamin Lipsey and Keshon Gilbert) was sensational. Lipsey tallied 19 points and broke the ISU record for steals in a game with eight. The previous
record was seven shared by Fred Hoiberg (1991 vs. American) and Justus Thigpen (1993 vs. Kansas).

lead all players in scoring with 22, drilling a career-high six treys.
Iowa State’s 90 points against the Hawkeyes is the most since the team dropped 90 in Iowa City back in 2014.
Iowa State shot 61.0 percent from the field to overcome a season-high 25 turnovers. The Cyclones, however, forced a season-high 29 turnovers and held PVAM to 33 percent
from the field, including a 28.6 percent clip in the second period.
ISU was 9-of-15 (60 pct.) from beyond the arc in the win.
How It Happened
Prairie View A&M held a 17-16 lead at the 12:15 mark, as the Cyclones were sluggish out of the gates. Lipsey got the Cyclones out of their slumber with key plays in an
18-3 run. He scored seven points and had three steals which led to easy baskets on the other end.
The Cyclone lead grew to 20 points (50-30) with under two minutes remaining in the first half, as ISU went into the break with a 52-35 lead. Curtis Jones was responsible
for helping ISU take command by draining all four of his attempts from beyond the arc. He closed out the half with 14 points.
The first-half game flow was hampered by fouls and turnovers, as both teams accounted for 28 turnovers (15- PVAM; 13- ISU) and 26 fouls (14- PVAM; 12-ISU).
ISU outscored the Panthers 26-6 to begin the second half to put the game out of reach.
