Nadine “Dee Dee” Bailey, 68, of Klemme, IA, passed away June 28, 2023, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA.

A funeral service will be held 4:00pm, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA 50401. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the funeral home.

Dee Dee was born August 24,1954, in Mason City, daughter of William and Margaret (O’Donnell) McCloskey. She graduated from Mason City High School with the class of 1972. Dee Dee then went on to earn her associates degree and graduated from Hamilton Business College. She married the love of her life, Marvin Bailey, April 21, 1979. Dee Dee dedicated 30 years of her life to the North Iowa Transition Center as their business manager.

Dee Dee always took care of everyone but herself. Family was absolutely everything to her. She’d make them special gifts, including teddy bears, to show her appreciation. Dee Dee was always the strong person; no matter what was going on in her life she would always say she was fine. She always found time to help others as well as take care of everything that needed to be done in her home. If she put her mind to something, there was no stopping her. Dee Dee also loved animals and cherished the many cats and dogs she has had over the years. Everyone around her could appreciate her sense of humor; even if she was known for her Irish temper. She was very creative and an amazing cook.

Dee Dee is survived by her beloved husband, Marvin; sons, Jonathan and Steven (Cassie) Bailey; grandchildren, Dart, Chance, Parker, and Summer; siblings, Mary (Tom) Heaberlin, Debbie (Bob) Ytzen, John (Vicky) McCloskey, and Pat (Francie) McCloskey; sister-in-law and best friend, Cindy (Dean) Lehs; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Dee Dee was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret; siblings, Big Dee Dee, Patty, Tom, Peggy, Billy, and Mike; and sister-in-law, Cheryl.
