Judy Ann Bennett passed away Thursday July 14, 2022 at the age of 66 at her home in Lu Verne, Iowa. A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at the LuVerne United Methodist Church with her brother, Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Inurnment will take place at the LuVerne Cemetery.
Judy was born April 21, 1956 in Hampton, Virginia to Harley and Betty Morgan. She graduated Corwith Wesley High School in 1978. Judy had four children, four grandchildren and two great children with another on the way, whom she loved with all her heart. Her hobbies included cooking for others, gardening, fishing and scary movies. She loved scaring her family members with ghost stories when they were young. Judy worked in food service for many years including the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. She enjoyed serving others and making them happy through her cooking.
Judy is survived by a daughter, Betina (Troy) Gilliland of Vincent, Iowa. Her father, Roland Johnson of Irvington, Iowa. Grandchildren and great grandchildren. Siblings Catherine Morgan of Britt, Iowa. Shelby (Damian) Thornton of Bode, Iowa. Barbara Casey of Lu Verne, Iowa. Steven (Robin) Johnson of Cameron, Missouri. Stevanie Jonas of Lu Verne, Iowa. Paul (Angela) Johnson of Algona, Iowa. Judy is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and siblings William and Jolena and sons, Dennis, Jeremy and Raymond.
