Cops seek violent suspects who beat clerk while robbing Iowa convenience store

WEST DES MOINES – Cops are seeking violent suspects who beat a shop clerk while robbing an Iowa convenience store recently.

The West Des Moines Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two males that committed an armed robbery on Friday, June 10 at approximately 1:30 AM at a Kum & Go Convenience Store located at 5308 University Avenue.  During the robbery, the clerk was assaulted and struck over the head multiple times with a firearm and sustained injuries requiring transport to a local hospital for treatment. The suspects fled in a dark red or maroon colored sedan. Attached are photos of the two suspects and their vehicle involved in the offense. Witnesses describe one male as “heavy set” and the other male is described as “skinny.”
