Algona police seek wanted, convicted sex abuser, warn of threats

ALGONA – Algona police are seeking a wanted convicted sex abuser on the loose who has made threats to North Iowans.

Algona police say 41-year-old Timothy Bittner is wanted on a warrant issued in Woodbury County for parole violation for charges related to a sexual abuse conviction.  Police describe Timothy Bittner as “5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 209 pounds.”

Police also warned that “Bitner has made threats towards individuals in the Kossuth County area and may return to the area. If you see Bitner, do not make contact with him. Please keep him in sight if possible and call 911.”
