Lucille “Lucy” Elizabeth Schlotterback, 86, of Manly, died Monday, September 6, 2021, at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 N. Broadway St., Manly, with Rev. Jake Dunne officiating. Burial will be at Manly Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021, at Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring St., Manly, where a Scriptural Wake Service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Lucy was born January 1, 1935, the daughter of Lester and Irene (Haubrich) Standish in Luverne, MN. She married Jacob Schlotterback on January 20, 1962, in South St. Paul, MN. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1997.
A graduate of Magnolia High School in Minnesota, Lucy worked for Montgomery Ward and U.S. Steel, both in St. Paul. Once she and Jacob began their family, she stayed home to raise and take care of their children.
Lucy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manly and past member of the Little Flower Guild at Sacred Heart. She loved being outside working in her vegetable garden and flower garden, and also bird watching. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Lucy is survived by her children, Teresa Schlotterback of Riceville, Mary (Aaron Perry) Kraft of Riceville, Monica (Duane) Ausenhus of Hanlontown and Jason Schlotterback of North Liberty, IA; grandchildren, Kaci (Nick) Pohlman, Jordan Kraft, Taylor (fiancé, Josh Mauer) Kraft, Jacob Kraft, Kylee Perry, Hailee Ausenhus and Hannah Ausenhus; great-grandchildren, Bella Pohlman and Valen Pohman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and siblings, Marion Pavek, Kathryn Vincent, Barbara Standish and Lawrence Standish.
