KEOKUK, IOWA – Smiling broadly and proudly displaying his neck tat that teases “broken”, this Iowa man possibly tipped back a few too many cold ones before cops allegedly found him passed out in a street.
On the bright, sunny afternoon of January 25, 2025 at 3:39 PM, officers with the Keokuk Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Johnson Street Road for a welfare check on a male. Somehow, the suspect had “fell down” and was lying in the road, according to police.
Cops discovered 39-year-old Joshua Allen Loveless of Keokuk, Iowa, slumbering at this location. After an investigation, Loveless was arrested for simple misdemeanor public intoxication and taken to jail for processing.
Almost immediately, Loveless (pictured at top) entered a guilty plea to his criminal nap and it will cost him $180.75 owed to Iowa courts. Last year, records show, Loveless (a convicted felon for drug crimes in which he owed Iowa courts thousands of dollars) was guilty of drunk driving, and that cost him $1,627.50 owed to Iowa courts. Despite being put on a payment plan, he has yet to make one installment.
