ARMSTRONG, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man was charged with a felony after an alleged violent domestic incident.
On January 26, 2021, at approximately 2:45 PM, the Armstrong Police Department was called to the 605 4th Avenue South apartments, for a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival to the apartment, the officer observed a female with several marks and injuries on her upper torso and neck area. The officer did an investigation at the scene and placed Daniel Kenneth Douglas, age 30, of Armstrong, under arrest. Douglas was transported the the Emmet County Law Enforcement Center without incident. Douglas was charged with domestic abuse assault causing strangulation, a class D felony and child endangerment, a serious misdemeanor.
