Clear Lake man cited after vehicle rollover accident

RURAL CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake man was given a citation after he rolled his vehicle Friday morning outside Clear Lake.

On Friday, May 18, 2017 at about 10:52 AM, the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle rollover on 230th Street East of Grouse Avenue South of Clear Lake.

Benjamin Dolph, age 18 of Clear Lake, was Eastbound on 230th Street when he lost control on the gravel road. Dolph rolled his 2007 Ford Taurus into the South ditch. Dolph was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

As a result of the accident, Dolph was cited for failure to maintain control and speed.

The accident remains under investigation.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DNR Law Enforcement, Clear Lake Fire Department and Mason City Fire Medics.
