Mason City man caught with illegal drugs for second time

MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been caught with illegal drugs for a second time.

A CErro Gordo county deputy conducted a traffic stop on the evening of December 12 at the 1500 block of Massachusetts Avenue. After an investigation, the driver was found to have an expired registration. Further investigation found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, the driver, 36-year-old Bradley Martin Johnson was arrested on charges of second-offense possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension. His vehicle was impounded and he was taken to jail. He’s due in court December 29.

Martin was caught by Cerro Gordo deputies with marijuana back in September. He pled guilty in November and was sent to jail for 2 days and must pay $726.25 in fines and court fees.
