MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been sentenced for violating Minnesota’s “revenge porn” law.

William Alan Eldridge, age 27 of Mason City, was sentenced for nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images. This is Minnesota’s “revenge porn” law. Allegedly, Eldridge created fake social media profiles and placed naked pictures of someone on the profile. He then directed folks to take a peek, in order to inflict emotional harm upon his victim.

Eldridge ended up spending 21 days in jail and was put on 3 years of probation. He also had to pay a $1,085.00 fine. He’s not allowed to possess a firearm and must contact his probation officer if he’s charged with a new crime.

Eldridge is a convicted felon who served time in Iowa prisons after a number of domestic abuse assault convictions.
