Over 130 high school students attend “Busting Out Blue” at NIACC

MASON CITY – North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) held a “Busting Out Blue” campus visit on Saturday, March 4 for high school juniors and seniors. The day was filled with many events which included an Admissions presentation with information on programs available at NIACC, Financial Aid, and Scholarships; a tour of campus and student housing; and free admission to the Men’s and Women’s basketball games. Several of the future Trojan athletes (2017-18 newly signed athletes) were recognized and high school dance teams performed together with the NIACC Dancers during the half time of the Men’s game. The day concluded with mentalist Chris Carter performing in the Auditorium.

Over 130 high school students from 43 different schools attended the event and over $3500 worth of prizes were given away. Prizes included gift cards, a TV, Kindle Fires, wireless Beats and scholarships. West Hancock was the school with the highest percentage of juniors and seniors in attendance so their post prom committee will receive a $250 check, sponsored by Moorman Clothiers.

Sponsors of the event were NIACC Admissions, Student Activities, Intramurals, Building Trades and Nursing programs, Campus View Housing, the NIACC BookZone and Moorman Clothiers.

Sounds like a Bernie Sanders Event – liberal give away .

They were promoting something you don’t know about – education. It is called advertising.
