COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND – Hot shooting from three-point land propelled Iowa to a big road victory Saturday against a ranked Maryland team.
Iowa (16-13, 8-8 ) beat No. 24 Maryland (22-7, 10-6) 83-69 behind a freshman school record 8 three-pointers from Jordan Bohannon. His 8-of-9 effort was one shy of the single-game school record. He scored a personal-best 24 points.
Tyler Cook had his first career double-double (21 points and 10 rebounds).
Iowa sank 16 three-pointers, the most by the Hawkeyes in a Big Ten game this season. Iowa is one of four teams in the country to make 16 or more 3-pointers on the road against a ranked opponent this season.
Iowa led 47-40 at the half.

Iowa next travels to Madison to play No. 15 Wisconsin.
