DUBUQUE, IOWA – An Iowa woman is dead after a three-car crash in Dubuque.
On Friday, January 13th, 2017, at 6:09 PM, Dubuque police responded to a 3-vehicle crash at the intersection of Holiday Drive and the Northwest Arterial. The investigation revealed a northbound vehicle driven by Patricia A. Feldman, age 77 of Dubuque, had a flashing yellow arrow and attempted to turn left (or west) onto Holiday Drive from the N.W. Arterial. Feldman’s vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle that had the green light, driven by Raymond J. Jaeger, age 76 of Holy Cross, Iowa. After the initial impact, Feldman’s vehicle then crashed into a third vehicle traveling eastbound on Holiday Drive, driven by Gaelynn M. Cain, age 58 of East Dubuque, Illinois.
A front seat passenger in Feldman’s vehicle, Carol A. Gantenbein, 77, of Dubuque, died from injuries sustained in the crash. Feldman was transported to Finley Hospital for injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Cain reported an injury but declined medical attention at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing and no charge has been filed at this time.
