OBIT: Yvette Antoinette Miller

Yvette Antoinette Miller, 66 of Clear Lake, died Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel in Mason City, with Pastor Jack Moore officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Yvette Miller Memorial Fund.

Yvette was born on October 15, 1949, the daughter of McDale and Harriett (McGruder) Thompson and Charles Bennett. She was united in marriage to James Roger Green and to this union five children were born. She later married Dennis Miller in 1999 until his death in 2012.

A graduate of Omaha Tech High School in Omaha, NE, Yvette continued her education at NIACC and UNI. She was a homemaker for most of her life, raising five children.

Yvette was an avid reader who also wrote poetry, and was very spiritual and loving. She was also very sweet and honest and welcomed everybody with open arms. She enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts and loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Yvette is survived by five children, Tyrone Green of Cedar Rapids, Charles (Kathy) Green of Mason City, Anthony (Jessica) Green of Humboldt, Justin (Sarah) Green of Mason City and Tiffany (Glenn) Green-Harrington of Mason City; numerous grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Valorie Whitner of Minneapolis, MN; and several other siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
