MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been arrested for the third time this year, this time on a felony drug charge.
Thursday evening, a Mason City police officer observed a subject with a valid warrant for his arrest in the 600 block of North Delaware Avenue. The subject, 30-year-old James David Teepe, attempted to flee from the officer. Not long thereafter, with the help of other officers, Teepe was apprehended. Once he was caught, officers found an illegal substance and drug paraphernalia. Teepe was arrested on the warrant for failure to pay child support and a felony charge of possession of an illegal substance, interference with official acts and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Teepe remains held in the county jail on $200 cash bond. He will have a court date later this month.
Teepe was arrested two previous times this year by Mason City police, both times in connection to domestic incidents. Once of the charges was dropped and is due to be arraigned on September 20 on the second arrest from this past August.
