MASON CITY – A wanted Worth county woman was nabbed in Mason City after police responded to kids throwing water balloons at cars.
Mason City police were called about a complaint of a disturbance on April 19 at about 4:13 PM. Officers responded to kids throwing water balloons at cars near Georgia Avenue and 1st Street NE. As an officer spoke with a woman at the scene about the complaint, it was determined that she was wanted in Worth county. Police then arrested 29-year-old Carol Ann Flores of Manly on an arrest warrant that had been valid since September of 2015.
Flores was taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail on the warrant connected to a felony charge of gambling – false claim of winnings. This is in connection to an alleged incident at the Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood back in July of 2015. She soon posted bond and was released from jail as she awaits a court date.
Why in the world is she smiling? Does she really think it’s funny to be jail and for doing the things that she has done so far?

i know a lot of people that claim to be winning at Diamond Joes and I know that is false, since Boyd Gaming took over the casino NOBODY wins. the few times I have been there over the years I can see the crowd is dwindling, people must be tired of always losing. I know I am and very very seldom ever go anymore. State needs to look into their payouts, think they are violating the law
