13029452_1057420697652605_4995036403508742881_oST. ANSGAR – A pork feed fundraiser will be held Saturday evening in St. Ansgar to help raise money for a 3D mammogram machine that could save lives.

The event will be held Saturday, April 23 from 4:30 – 8:00 PM at the St. Ansgar American Legion, located at 137 West 4th Street. It is sponsored by the St. Ansgar Sons of the American Legion. Funds collected will help raise money for a 3D mammogram machine at the Mitchell County Reginal Health Center in Osage. Breast cancer, when detected early, is very treatable. This upgrade to 3D mammography will help detect it in denser breast tissue.

Raffling will include signed Dallas Clark and Matt Sherman Hawkeye helmets, a Ryan Hannam signed Seattle Seahawks helmet and Traeger gill.

These machines cost $500,000 to $750,000. I hope they charge a lot for the meals and have a huge turnout!
