MASON CITY – A Mason City woman battled cops as she was arrested for the second time right in front of her house, this time for drunk driving with kids in her van.
The incident unfolded on February 28, 2015, at 8:39 PM, when dispatch received a 911 call. The caller described an assault, and police tell NIT that persons could be heard in the background that were possibly emotional and or crying. The caller refused to give her current location and eventually hung up.
Officers went to the last known residence of the cell phone owner to check on their welfare. While officers were at 11 15th ST NE, 27-year-old Dominique Phillips pulled up in a van to her residence. According to police, “a couple of children were in the van. Officers soon suspected that Phillips may be intoxicated.”
Police investigated, and Phillips was soon placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated. She was handcuffed but then allegedly resisted the officers’ efforts to escort her over to the car and place her in the back seat.
Eventually, Phillips went to jail for operating while intoxicated; driving while revoked (OWI); interference with official acts; and child endangerment.
Police say the children did not appear to be injured, and a DHS referral was made.
Philips was also arrested for drunk driving on February 6, 2016. She is due to be arraigned in that case on March 8.
This is the lowest form of trash that Mason has. Prostitute with kids, drug addict living off our tax dollars. Always in trouble, violent and can’t read or write. It’s sad her number one worth is between her legs. Never has had a drivers license. Look, someone has to get these people either help to get back on track or get them out of this town. I’ve seen this girl. She can’t form a sentence but she is good with her mouth and lying on her back. The problem is that so are thousands of others. She is a drunk who is putting innocent kids at risk for death. She looks like she got thumped and she needs something to wake her up. Like I said the lowest.
You know if the county attorney would quit plea barging and do his fricking job and put some of these guys in jail for a year or two word would get around real quick. If you are on probation and you violate it you should be arrested and sent directly to jail as it shows you have no respect for the law and the JUDGES. Quit f**king with these dirt bags and put them in jail. JESUS H CHRIST Send em packing. Also give them a jar of Butt Butter.
More oppression from the white man, when will it end. It’s on the job training for the kids, so they can see how the white man treats them folk, and grow up believing the rhetoric taught to them by their so called parents.
Just maybe the state should step in and remove the kids from her. They have seen enough crap so get to them early and change might do them for the better. Stumblebums like this and the rest of the stumblebums need to jail and get some long term treatment.
