MASON CITY – A man who recently pleaded guilty to driving while barred was stopped while driving this weekend and arrested on a number of charges.

Thomas Wayne Vanfossen, age 40, had been pulled over and arrested by a Mason City police officer on January 12, 2015 and charged with third degree harassment and driving while barred. He pleaded guilty in March and was ordered to pay $254.25 and $1065.65 in fines and court costs, sent to jail for 7 days and was forced to submit a DNA sample to the state.

On the evening of April 17, Vanfossen was again pulled over by Mason City police near the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue arrested on what police described as “multiple charges”.  Court records do not yet reflect what those charges are.
