Expensive flute stolen from Rockwell school

investigateROCKWELL – Law enforcement reported that an expensive musical instrument was stolen from a school in Rockwell.

Rockwell police chief Richard Whitney said that a flute valued at nearly $900 was stolen from the West Form Elementary / Middle School at 210 2nd Street South about 6 weeks ago. Since the theft occurred, the school has been investigating and trying to find the instrument, but apparently, has not found it.

The flute and its case are missing at this time and were allegedly taken from a child’s locker. It is a Gemeinhardt brand artisan 210 model flute and case, serial #r34142.

Anyone with information on this incident should contact Rockwell police.
