Shell Rock man stopped for felony drunk driving

PLAINFIELD – A Shell Rock man was arrested for felony drunk driving.

On September 3, 2014, Bremer County deputy made contact with the driver of a vehicle in the 700 block of Main Street in Plainfield. A deputy’s investigation led to the arrest of 45-year-old Roger Holthaus Shell Rock for third or subsequent offense operating while intoxicated. Holthaus was transported to the Bremer County Jail where he was later released on bond.

Third or subsequent offense operating while intoxicated is a class “D” felony and could result in an indeterminate prison term not to exceed five years, with a mandatory minimum term of thirty days, along with a fine of not less than three $3,125 up to $9,375.
