The average breath alcohol (Brac) was .12 with a range of .09-.19. The per se legal limit in Minnesota is .08. One driver refused to submit to testing, which is a crime in and of itself.

In addition to the driver’s arrested for DUI the following violations were cited; 13-speed, 4-seat belt, 2-child restraint, 13-Driving on a revoked/suspended/cancelled license, & 9 other drivers were cited for various traffic violations.

The Labor Day Mobilization is part of the Towards Zero Death (TZD) initiative. Throughout the upcoming year, the Albert Lea Police Department will be participating in enhanced enforcement dates. The goal of TZD is to achieve 0 traffic deaths and reduce severe injuries from traffic crashes.

It is not against the LAW!!! If they advertise a DUI road black it is LEGAL!!!

I wonder if there asking if they have been pulling bark off trees so they get some felony arrests…. These “safety checks” violate our constitutional rights.

How about going after some of the elderly people who shouldn’t be on the road

How about we start with brain dead idiots who make stupid comments.

I agree, they are dangerous

I have always had a real problem with the police stopping someone to check them out without probable cause. It violates our constitution. They use excuses like it is a safety stop or telling some one that they have a license plate light out. If they have a reason that is fine, otherwise it should be and is illegal in my opinion.

So you’d rather get t-boned by one of those impaired drivers? You piss and moan not enough is done and now you’re on the other side saying they did too much.

@Silly-Never said that at all. Just said it is in our constitution that the police need probable cause to stop people. If they are breaking a law it is one thing, if not, they are entitled to their privacy. You must be one of the braindeads.

Completely agree LVS. This is blatant violation of our 4th Amendment protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. Setting up military / police dragnets is akin to what’s done in one of the man ‘Stan’ nations: Turkmenistan, Khazikstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc., where military police often confiscate your goods and make you buy them back from them. Why do Americans just sit and take it? Oh yeah, cuz “they’re law abiding citizens and have nothing to worry about.” Yeah right.

You are way off base and need a job or something to occupy your time. It’s not surprising you live with your mom and don’t have a job.

So much for the constitution

America? Probable cause? Very sad
