Mason City man arrested after cops respond to argument

MASON CITY – Police arrested a wanted man after officers responded to a domestic altercation this weekend.

An emergency call about a loud argument was made to police on Saturday, August 16 at about 10:41 PM to 1419 North Federal Avenue. At the scene, a man and woman were arguing but no one was injured. However, the male subject, 44-year-old Lamar Douglas Anderson, was wanted on parole violations and was arrested. He had bee wanted on a warrant since July 31. Anderson is a dangerous felon, accused of a range of crimes from theft, burglary and domestic assault. He was taken to jail and held on no bond.

Police also reported the property as a nuisance and the landlord, Russell Hardy, was called to the scene.
