Powerball jackpot hits $350 million

PHILADELPHIA, May 12 (UPI) — The Powerball jackpot has risen to its third-highest prize ever of over $350 million, officials said.

The jackpot represents the seventh biggest annuity prize in U.S. history and sixth largest cash payout of $222.8 million of all time, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Sunday.

The jackpot increased to the staggering amount after no one matched all five numbers and Powerball drawn Saturday night.

Thirteen people won $1 million from Saturdays drawing: two each in Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina and Michigan, and one each in Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Louisiana and Arizona, the newspaper reported. Those tickets matched five numbers without the Powerball.

The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday.
