CHARLES CITY – Two days before guns were drawn at a confrontation at a Charles City apartment complex, a wanted man was caught at the same location.
On August 8 at about 5:55 AM, officers with the Charles City police department were called to the 600 block of 11th Street for a disturbance. After an investigation, police arrested 42-year-old Ramelle Williams, who was wanted on a warrant for probation revocation for a drug offense.
Williams is being held in the Floyd County Jail on $1,500 cash-only bond.
Law enforcement in the Charles City area mustered all its strength on August 10 to deal with a potentially lethal situation at this same location, as a number of individuals were arrested after several disturbances were reported. Some persons were reported to have guns and other weapons.
