U.S. General killed in sneak attack in Afghanistan (video)

KABUL, Afghanistan (Aug. 5, 2014) — The international military force in Afghanistan confirmed today that a deadly incident occurred today involving local Afghan and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) troops at The Marshal Fahim National Defense University in Kabul City, Afghanistan.

ISAF confirmed one ISAF service member was killed. Reports have surfaced that the deceased is a 2-star U.S general whose identity has not been released at this time. The incident is under investigation.

As many as 15 other service members were injured during the attack, which was said to be perpetrated by a terrorist dressed as an Afghan soldier.

The Afghan Defense Ministry described the shooter as a “terrorist” and said Afghan soldiers shot him dead.
