DICKINSON COUNTY – A Wisconsin couple was hurt in a recent auto crash in Northern Iowa.
On September 25, 2022 at around 10:11am, the DCSO responded to a personal injury accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of M27 (130th Ave) and A34 (220th St).
Kevin Reverts (59), of Hartley, IA, was northbound on M27 driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. Paul Montague (75), of Middleton, WI, was westbound on 220th St driving a 2017 Volkswagen Golf. Montague stopped at the intersection of A34 and M27 then proceeded to enter the intersection in front of Reverts. Reverts was unable to stop in time colliding with Montague. Reverts’ vehicle spun around and came to rest in the northwest corner of the intersection. Montague’s vehicle continued northwest and came to rest in a cornfield.
Paul Montague and his passenger, Joan Montague, were trapped in the vehicle and were extricated by mechanical means. The Montague’s were suspected of having serious or incapacitating injuries. They were both transported by ambulance to the hospital. No injuries were reported by Reverts or his passenger. Both vehicles were considered totaled.
The DCSO was assisted by the Lake Park Fire Department, Lake Park Rescue, Milford Fire Department, Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance, and Boji Towing & Recovery.
