Man attempts to elude Charles City police

CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City arrested a man after he refused to pull over for a traffic stop.

On July 10, 2014, at about 1:30 AM, police attempted to pull over 21-year-old Michael Sanders at the 1000 block of Terrace Road, but he refused to pull over, initially. Sanders was eventually stopped, arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, eluding police, improper use of a license and no insurance.

Sanders was released later that day. He awaits an August 1, 2014 hearing.
