From the Jodi Draper campaign –
MASON CITY – Last week, the Jodi Draper campaign contacted Grace United Methodist Church, to hold a candidate forum for second ward candidates. Pastor Hansen asked that we collaborate with the North End Partnership in this effort. Rhonda True, President of the North End Partnership expanded the opportunity for the citizens to participate in the democratic process, by opening the forum to all candidates running for election.
The forum will be held Tuesday, October 29, at 6:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th N.W. A business meeting of the North End Partnership will be held in conjunction with the candidate forum. The public is invited to attend.
What were the jobs again?
That’s the joke of the week
Travis Hickey has great business sense and experience. He is sharp as a tack! Plus as a member of the Mason City EDC he has recruited hundreds of jobs to the area, great paying jobs. What more can we ask for? VOTE HICKEY
Please list those jobs I must have missed that. Also he does not run a business he is a supervisor. MIDDLE MANAGEMENT Someone tells him what to do and then he delegates to workers. At least his opponents don’t pretend to be something they are not.
Too many to count but they are great jobs for hard-working families. You must be a hater like Matt Marquardt or Max that can’t see the big picture, figures! They will be all left out just wait and see. And by the way Travis is a great dad and runs a fortune 500 company right here in town, so learn your facts! VOTE HICKEY!!!
Travis is a supervisor for Fed Ex Freight. He does not run it or own it. No one said anything about his parenting skills. Just that he was a supervisor and Middle Management. Look up Fed Ex Freight on line, Travis Hickey is not mentions as the Administrator or CEO or not even Vice President… He is a Supervisor He handles schedules getting drivers out the door and people to load the docks, ask me how I know? My brother works there!
There’s another longtime elected official Jay Urdahl who works as a delivery man. Great record with helping people. Just like T. Hickey. I could see T. Hickey serving the city for a long time since he has a lot in common with the common man in the north end. Plus his business experience and expertise and history of tough decisions like fixing the problem with human rights.
Tweet maybe you should talk to your supposed brother. Yes he used to be a supervisor there. He is now the manager who runs the Mason City operations. He handles the day to day operations. If you don’t believe me ask Jody Drapers husband. He used to work for him
Mh
Are you on drugs?
Mh
Are you sober?
How much did Hickey pay you to come on here and say that?
Did he promise you drugs?
Does the fact that he cannot formulate a sentence make a difference? His favorite — “Them people don’t deserve an answer” And the truth is that yes he is a supervisor at FEd Ex but he does not create or work with the budget. He does not work with the time cards other than to pass them on to management. He has not had an original thought for 4 years. He only does what Bookmeyer tells him to do. When Bookmeyer says jump– he says when, where and how high. I want someone who can think for themselves to represent me and my family. He couldn’t spell Country Club until he joined up with Bookmeyer. And, as blue collar as he is, he would not been accepted by Bookmeyer’s buddies out there.
@mh-don’t you know you can go to HELL for lying?
Are all candidates asked for this one?
I understood that Bookmeyer was only going to have one there by himself. If the church changed this good for them.
I intend on going to this one. It should be interesting.
