MASON CITY – Two Mason City men let the brew get the best of them Thursday evening and cops had to cut their picnic short.
Around 7:00 pm Thursday evening, Mason City Police arrested two males who were drinking in Georgia Hanford Park. According to police, two separate complaints were received of two males drinking in the park. The officers arrived and found the males to be drinking canned beer and intoxicated. The two men, Curtis Delbert Everett, age 55, and Marlin Kenneth Nagel, age 54, were arrested for public intoxication without incident, Lieutenant Logan Wernet told NIT.
The men had two dogs partying with them, and the police had to wait for someone to pick them up. Several cold beers were poured out at the scene.

@Anonymous-Were you there?? Did you hear the comments?? Or did someone just tell you about it. What were the comments?? It is easy to make a statement like that, but can you prove it??

Boy-they sure look dangerous. The last time we were in East Park I saw lots of young people drinking beer. They were not hurting anyone or bothering anyone so why call the cops. What a nanny state we are becoming.
Wow! Thank goodness the streets of Mason City will be safe again. Way to go MCPD. Glad these terrorists are behimd bars.
