Two North Iowans injured in auto accident in Winnebago county

logo-iowa-state-patrolWINNEBAGO COUNTY – Two North Iowas were injured Friday in a two car accident in rural Winnebago county.

On Friday at about 12:21 PM, a 2007 Chevy PC driven by 69 year-old Marcia Goodale of Joice, Iowa was traveling southbound on South Winnebago Avenue near 10th Avenue while a 2013 Ford Pickup driven by 23 year-old Kristopher Belica of Lake Mills was traveling southbound when Goodale’s vehicle crossed the center line and the two vehicles collided head-on.

Both drivers were injured in the accident. Goodale was taken to Albert Lea Navy Hospital while Belica was taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City. The condition of the victims was not released.

The incident remains under investigation.
