MASON CITY – The Mason City Public Library proudly announces its spring community program.
On Saturday, April 6th at 2pm, Dave Ehlert will portray Abraham Lincoln AND Mark Twain in his performance of “Abe Lincoln, Mark Twain and the Civil War”.
This 90 minute theatrical performance is both humorous and educational. Mr. Ehlert shows how a Union President and a Confederate Deserter fought against slavery and racism in pre and post Civil War days. Mr. Ehlert performs with the Branson Superstars both in Branson and around the country portraying historical figures and popular entertainers. He has created many of these one-man shows exclusively for libraries. He has performed at the Mason City Public Library before in “Mark Twain 100 Years Later” to rave reviews.
This free program will be held in the Mason City Room. It is sponsored by the MCPL Friends of the Library.
