Manly woman pleads guilty to punching bartender; reports to jail

MASON CITY – A Manly woman arrested in December on a warrant for serious assault causing injury has plead guilty and is serving jail time.

Julie Ann Hove, 41, was picked up by Cerro Gordo County sheriff’s deputies on December 11th at Maurice’s Clothing Store in Mason City after a citation was issued by the Clear Lake Police Department on December 10th for a serious assault that took place on December 3rd at Rookies Bar in Clear Lake.

According to the Clear Lake Police Department, Hove “assaulted a bartender at Rookies Bar. She punched the bartender and cut his lip. He had to have stitches.”

Hove plead guilty on February 20th and was given a 60 day jail sentence with 58 days suspended.  Hove was also assessed a $315.00 fine and court costs.  She reported to jail that day.
