MASON CITY – A former Mason City man now living in Coralville, stopped just a few weeks ago by Mason City police for operating while intoxicated, was picked up over the weekend for public intoxication.
Erik Michael Halverson, 34, was arrested at 4:35 PM in Iowa City near Kinnick Stadium by University of Iowa Department of Public Safety officers and charged with public intoxication.
On October 21st at 2:11 AM, Halverson was stopped for a traffic violation at Highway 122 and Willowbrook Drive in Mason City. Halverson was then arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail where he was booked and released after posting $1,000 bond. He will be arraigned in that case on November 19th, 2012.
Halverson has numerous alcohol-related charges and moving violations on his record. As recently as October 8th, 2012, Halverson was found guilty of public intoxication in Iowa City. He owes $545.25 to the court in that case.
Who cares what a guy from Coralville does?? Hasnt it been years since this dude has lived in Mason City?
It should be legal to drink if you are forced to watch the hawkeyes
Ah, he really wants to quit drinking. Just give him another chance to see if he can kill some innocent person next time.
