IOWA FALLS, Iowa – It took two overtimes, but the NIACC men’s basketball team ended a three game slide with a 108-103 win over Ellsworth Community College on Saturday afternoon.
NIACC (12-10 overall, 3-4 in ICCAC play) trailed 47-41 at half, but sent the game into overtime at 83-83. The score was 93-93 after the first overtime.
The Trojans will play an out of conference game at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minnesota on Thursday night. Tipoff will be at 7 p.m.
Sophomore guard Sadie Pittman (Cape Girardeau, MO) scored a career high 18 points to help the NIACC women (11-10, 3-4 in ICCAC) get by Ellsworth Community College 61-57 on Saturday afternoon.
Kika Greenlee (Fr., Saint Louis Park, MN) scored 14 points and Jennifer Nelsen (So., Mason City, IA) added 12 more points. The Trojans outscored the Panthers 30-20 in the second half.
NIACC will next be at Marshalltown Community College on Wednesday night.
