Mason City Library to sponsor a Fall Home and Lawn Care program

MASON CITY ó Recent cool weather is a reminder that it’s time to prepare yards and homes for the fall and winter months to come. In preparation, Friends of The Mason City Library is sponsoring a Fall Home and Lawn Care program Wednesday, September 21, in the library’s Mason City Room.

Featured speakers are Kris Kramer from Kramer Ace Hardware who will discuss preparing your lawn for the cold. In addition, Bart Pals from North Iowa Community Action’s Weatherization program will offer energy-saving tips on winterizing your home.

The hour-long program is free and open to the public. It begins at 6:30 pm. The Mason City Room is located at the west end of the library building, 225 2nd St. SE.

The Mason City Friends of the Library organization is a non-profit founded to support library activities and encourage public use. Friends’ functions are funded by membership contributions and the annual Geranium Sale. Anyone interested in further information about the organization is invited to call Friends’ president Carolyn Braastad to 641-424-1067.
