Impeach Now! (by Peter Children)

There are legal remedies available to correct the impasse at the administrative level in Mason City; its called impeachment…..and petitions should be placed around this city starting today.

The transparency of the mayor’s intentions are so blatant they border on pathetic. While last night’s council meeting was chaotic, it was never the less a reminder of how the democratic process works in a free country. Bookmeyer has over stayed his visit at City Hall, never was that more eviendent than last night when he read a prepared statement concocted by the City Attorney and himself. This statement was meant to hold off his poor excuse for derelict of duty on his part. He has learned you cannot effectively serve two masters; I.C. Systems and the city of Mason City….and I might add, in that order.

To blatantly “cut off” a Director of a city agency was beyond reperenhensible…and he knew it which made it even worse. It was meant to show disrespect to Foster. The interpretation of the city code on commission member’s requirements to serve on the Human Rights board is merely a bump in the road. The next time the council sits in session, a motion should be presented to change the requirement limitation to include whatever works for the agency. In my opinion, the “Unmoveable Force” has now acquired a fourth vote in the person of councilman Hickey. It was only a matter of time before Hickey saw through the manipulations of Bookmeyer…Solberg and Turncoat are so deep in the ether they will never wake up.

Also interesting was Turncoat’s veiled threat to Weaver about reveling some clandestine conversation that allegedly took place in a parked car. What are we talking about here…..the “cold war” maybe?

Bookmeyer misconstrued the mayoral position of New York or Chicago with that of this small Midwestern city nestled between the corn and bean fields in the bread basket of the world. He thought he could run roughshod over those living here and create a perfect environment tailored to fit the management style of the camp commandant who runs stalag 17 out behind Wal-Mart……not even close. Bookmeyer has learned that the majority of those living here pick corn; if he bends over they will show him where those corn cobs fit. I keep looking for the strings hooked on to him that most puppets have attached. They must be under his coat. Stayed tuned….you ain’t seen nothing yet.
