POSTVILLE, IOWA – This destructive Northern Iowa woman made cold ones vanish, then allegedly proceeded to punish her classic 2002 Pontiac Grand Am by plowing into any number of rural fences, and cops want to know if one of them was yours.
On August 6, 2025, at approximately 12:20 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a 911 call of a personal injury accident near the 14000 block of Highway 18 near Postville, Iowa. When arriving on scene, it was found through interviews and an investigation that a vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 18 when the tire of the 2002 Pontiac Grand AM blew out and came off the vehicle. The vehicle continued westbound on its rim, until it came to rest at a driveway in the 14000 Block of Highway 18.
When making contact with the driver, 23-year-old Tiffany Kelly of Dundee, Iowa, multiple alcoholic containers were observed in the vehicle and Kelly showed signs of intoxication. Kelly was transported to Palmer ER in West Union, Iowa, with minimal injuries.
After the investigation was conducted, Kelly was arrested and charged with the following crimes:
– Operating While Intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor
– Interference with Official Acts, a simple misdemeanors
– No Insurance, a simple misdemeanors
It also was found the vehicle had multiple feet of fencing wrapped around the vehicle, indicating the vehicle had gone through a fence somewhere prior to resting point.
The sheriff’s office advised, “if you notice damage to your fence, please contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at (563)422-6067.”
